Samaúma (Ceiba pentandra radix)
This is a grounding and connective hapé. The people know that Samaúma connects us with our ancestors and therefore with our ancestral Karma. The Samaúma tree is often considered the spiritual father of the forest, the pivotal energy to which all other life yields.
Energetically, this Powerful cleansing blend brings balance. It is connected to the spirits of the jungle. It is used for balancing energies in the body mind and spirit. This acts as a harmonizing agent for the thoughts, feelings emotions, and is great for centering on an intention during ceremony. It is used to empower intentions and healing abilities, and to connect with the spirit world, which is great for people who work as healers. It is also used to connect us with our roots and to communicate with nature. It is extremely beneficial for the root, heart, third eye chakras.
Physically, It has a pleasing yet strong flavor. This hapé blend contains ash from parts of the sacred Samauma tree, which is one of the largest trees in the Amazon. It also contains Rustica. Watering of the eyes come almost immediately followed by a deep powerful feeling throughout the entire head and body. Tendency to purge is minimal, but some time is needed to reground after the experience. It has been used as "a diuretic, to ease headaches, and to strengthen the organs."

WHAT IS HAPÉ?
Hapé is a legal tobacco, tree bark, and herb-based shamanic snuff, also known as rapeh, or rapé (pronounced rah-pay). It is a sacred medicine carried by indigenous tribes throughout South America, especially native to Brazil and Peru. Deeply cleansing and powerfully healing, it assists in grounding, opening and realigning the energetics of the chakra system, decalcifying the pineal gland and clarifying the third eye, clearing away mental confusion and negativity and reestablishing a conscious connection to Mother Nature, the breath and to Spirit.
